Sally D. Meadows Elementary officially launched its House System for the 2026-2027 school year with an exciting House Sorting Ceremony that welcomed every student and staff member into one of four Houses: Reveur, Isibindi, Altruismo, or Amistad.
The House System is designed to build relationships, strengthen school culture, and encourage students to grow as leaders while demonstrating positive character each day. Throughout the year, students and staff will work together within their Houses to earn points through academic achievement, positive behavior, service, participation, and teamwork.
Although each House has its own unique identity and friendly competition, the program is rooted in the belief that everyone at Sally D. Meadows is part of one Brave family. The House System provides opportunities for students of all grade levels to connect, encourage one another, and celebrate each other's successes.
The Sorting Ceremony was filled with anticipation as students and staff discovered which House they would represent this year. Cheers erupted across the gym as each House welcomed its newest members and the excitement for the year ahead continued to grow.
The four Houses each represent a set of important values:
Reveur
– Dreamers who inspire others through vision and imagination.
Isibindi
– Courageous leaders who demonstrate bravery and determination.
Altruismo
– Servant leaders who put others first through kindness and generosity.
Amistad
– Friends who build community through loyalty, encouragement, and belonging.
As the school year unfolds, students will have many opportunities to earn House points, participate in House events, and celebrate accomplishments together. While each House is working toward becoming this year's House Champion, the greatest goal is helping every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally while living out the values that make Sally D. Meadows a special place to learn.
The House Sorting Ceremony marked an exciting beginning to what promises to be a memorable year of leadership, teamwork, and school pride at Sally D. Meadows. Every Brave has a House, every House has a purpose, and together, we are stronger.
Built Different. Built Elite.
